Welcome to Donner Luxury
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Rental is privately owned. There are five bedrooms and three and one half baths.
The maximum number of people allowed in the home is nineteen (19).
The kitchen is completely equipped with cooking and eating utensils. All bed
linens and towels are provided.
NO SMOKING and NO PETS allowed.
If arriving at night you may want to bring a flashlight as there are no streetlights
and the address on the house is hard to see.
KEYS:
A key is in the lock box on the left of the front door. The unlock code changes
after each renter. Once you have entered the house there will be two keys on
the kitchen counter these are for your use. Please put the key back in the lock
box immediately so you do not get locked out or misplace the key. There is a
$25 charge for keys not returned.
SECURITY DAMAGE/DEPOSIT:
A security deposit of $500 is due on all reservations. Renters are responsible
for damaged or missing property. The cost will be deducted from the security
deposit. Provided there is no damage and the unit is left reasonably clean,
deposits will be refunded within two weeks.
RENT:
Rent must be paid in full three weeks prior to check in. We accept checks, cash
and money orders.
CANCELLATION:
If reservation is cancelled more than 60 days prior to rental date 100% of deposit
is returned. If cancellation is 30-60 days prior 50% of rental deposit is returned.
If cancellation is 8-29 days prior 20% of rental deposit is returned. No refund
if cancellation is one week or less prior to rental date. No shows forfeit full
rent. No refunds will be given due to weather conditions. *For Christmas and
New Years weeks there will be no refund if cancellation is less than one month
prior to rental date.
ITEMS LEFT BEHIND:
Owner is not responsible for personal items left in the rental. Please make
sure you have everything with you when you leave.
HEATING:
There are two thermostats, one upstairs and one downstairs.
HOT WATER:
It takes a few minutes for the hot water to warm up but if the water will not
get hot the hot water heater may be off. It is located downstairs in the bedroom
off the game/family room. In the smaller closet you will see a small box on
the right wall if there is no reading on the panel push the ON button.
PHONES:
Only local calls can be made from telephones. To make long distance calls you
must use a calling card or call 1-800-COLLECT. The phone number to the home
is 530-550-7360.
TRASH:
A trash enclosure is provided. It is the brown rectangular box on the driveway
in front of the house. Trash day is Tuesday. Please put all trash out on that
day and before you leave. Any extra trash place in the cans in the garage. Do
not leave trash outside.
HOT TUB:
The hot tub should be in operating mode when you arrive. Adjust temperature
to no more than 104'.
MASTER BATHTUB:
BATHROOMS:
Owner does not provide toilet paper; please make sure to bring your
own.
Jets will only work once water level is above the sensors. Please
do not use bubble bath in the bathtub.
GAS STOVE/FIREPLACE:
Turn stove on by flipping switch on the back of the stove. Control
the temperature with the dial on the back of the stove.
PARKING:
There is parking for five cars ~ one in garage, two in driveway and two in extra
parking to the right of the driveway. No parking is allowed on the street from
October 1st to May 15th due to snow removal. Cars could be damaged, ticketed
or towed.
LOCKED CLOSETS:
Owner maintains a locked area in the home for personal use. Please respect these
locked areas.
MAINTENANCE:
We make every effort to keep property and it’s equipment in good working order.
In the case of a breakdown we will try to repair it as soon as possible. Please
report any problems by calling Second Home Care at 530-582-0220 or call 925-672-7338.
ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE:
On arrival: Please call at once with problems or damage so you will not be held
responsible.
On departure:
- Leave rental reasonably clean to avoid extra cleaning fee.
- Load and run dishwasher before leaving.
- Strip all used sheets from beds that were slept in.
- Take out trash.
- Turn heat to 55'.
- Turn gas stove/fireplace is off.
- Turn off all lights and appliances.
- Close and lock all windows and doors.
- Make sure you have all of your belongings.
- Leave keys and guest passes on kitchen counter.
